Majority of the itinerary was planned according to my wife's favored, but Tokyo Station was one of the few places I asked to go.
Some stations in Tokyo are extremely large. Shinjuku, Ueno, and Ikebukuro, etc. If you take the wrong exit, you will spend a lot of time to be back to the right track. But I think Tokyo Station is "even bigger". It makes me feel confused. When we left the carriage, there are many shops found inside the station.
After walking around for a long time, I realized that we have not yet exited the station. I don't think it is possible for us to walk through Tokyo Station in two hours, so I simply set one goal - "Tokyo Character Street".
According to the information, The Character Street is located in the First Avenue section of Tokyo Station. on the east side behind the Yaesu Underground Center at Tokyo Station.
Unfortunately, google map could not give me a very clear guideline as we were in underground area. Therefore, we type our question on google translate and ask for help from the staffs in nearby shops
"Would you please tell us how to go to Character Street?"
Finally we got there, just next to the entry of Pacro..

I imagined that there are several animate characters walking around the street, but actually it is just a street with many many shop with products of animate characters.
Tokyo Character Street is just one section of First Avenue. There are dozens of shops selling anime characters or cartoon character merchandise. It takes an hour to go shopping. The variety and quantity of styles here are not as many as Akihabara, but there are official shops of Kirby, Snoopy, Totoro, Ultraman, etc. I think Tokyo Anime Character Street is worth a visit for anime fans.
Kirby Star Store is the most popular store in the character street.
There are food and plenty of Kirby's souvenirs.

Tokyo Station is famous for its food souvenirs, with some delicious and well-packaged special foods everywhere. And they are not only bought by tourists, but also popular among locals.

Compared to the souvenirs bought in Ueno, the food souvenirs at Tokyo Station are sold in gift boxes, which are more expensive, but the packaging is also more exquisite. There is a direct REX express train from Tokyo station to Narita Airport, so it is also a good place to spend the money left in your pocket before leaving Tokyo.
My original planned itinerary for the day was Ueno - Tsukiji - Ginza - Tokyo Station - Ueno. it would be most convenient to go sightseeing in this order without back and forth. However, my wife insisted that Ginza must be the last stop, so I ended up changing the itinerary to Ueno - Tsukiji - Tokyo Station, and then backtrack to Ginza.
