In this early summer, the children are excited to join their tour with their school. Undoubtedly they are happy as they will not be supervised by their parents in this week. "So do I!" It is a golden time for us as we are not need to take care of them.
Our plan is to stay three nights in Tokyo - total 72 hours, the time is indeed a little short, but after deducting the one or two days of theme park that the children must have, perhaps we can go further, farther, and more freely.
According to my dearest's request. Our itinerary must include following elements:
1) Don’t visit the places we’ve been to in 2024, except for Ueno and Tsukiji Market.
2) Go to some place with "new experiences" - Kawaguchiko or Karuizawa?
3) Cherry Blossom Viewing
4) Have a big meal - all-you-can-eat BBQ meat and pork
5) Outlet
6) Shopping…
7) Shopping spree…
8｝Extreme Shopping Craze‥‥‥
9) The rest of the time is up to me...(if still have)
Therefore, we have skipped many popular places that have been visited in 2024 or before. What would this trip be like without Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, or Akihabara?

Day 3: Cherry Blossom Viewing in Ueno Park > Tsukiji Market > Tokyo Character Street > Ginza
(It was my fifth time in Tokyo but my first visit to Ueno Park and see the cherry blossoms. It was also my first time visiting Tokyo Station and Ginza. I know many visitors have visited these places in their first time Tokyo visit. There are too many sight seeing options in Tokyo.)
Day 4: Parco Ya Ueno > 0101 Ueno > Ameya-Yokochō > Yamashiroya > 16:00 Skyliner to Airport
Transportation preparation: We only prepared two Suica cards, and did not reserve any railway seats or buy any Day Pass, nor did we prepare any airport or Karuizawa high-speed train tickets. This arrangement is totally not the same as the suggestion of many travel experts. They will recommend visitors buying the JR Tokyo Wide Pass - 3 DAYS PASS. I think I will explain the reasons in detail in a later article.
(Due to the tight schedule, we chose a hotel near Ueno Station, which has direct trains to both Karuizawa and airport. I will share more about this APA HOTEL UENO EKIMAE later.)
